Plastic Strapping

Polyester (PET) and polypropylene (PP) are two polymers commonly used to manufacture plastic strap. These two polymers have different mechanical properties which gives them very different performance characteristics.

Polyester (PET) Strap

PPI polyester strapping is designed for medium to heavy-duty palletizing and unitizing applications and can be applied by hand tools or power strapping equipment. PPI’s polyester has higher break strengths and maintains a higher level of retained strap tension than polypropylene strapping.

PPI’s polyester is available in a wide range of sizes and thicknesses.

Polypropylene (PP) Strap

PPI’s polypropylene (PP) strapping is designed to run through hand tools and power strapping equipment. Embossed polypropylene strapping is low cost and is suitable for a wide range of applications.

Available in a wide range of sizes and thicknesses as well as core sizes and colours.
