Strapping Seals
PPI offers a complete line of seals and buckles for steel, polyester, polypropylene and cord strapping. PPI also offers logo printed seals for added security and brand promotion.
Serrated Seals:
PPI serrated seals are designed specifically for use with polyester strapping, a special serrated design inside the seal to grip the strapping and allow for maximum seal joint efficiency.
For use with the PPI 420 Serrated Sealer and the PPI 430 Symmetrical Serrated Sealer.
Available in Widths: 1/2″, 5/8″ and 3/4″ sizes
Open Seals:
PPI open (or snap-on) seals for both steel and platic strapping are placed over the overlapping strap ends either during or after tensioning up the metal strapping. The open seals eliminates pre-threading of the seal and speeds the strapping operation. This is the most popular seal for steel strapping and is used in most strapping applications.
Available in Widths 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″, 1 1/4″ and 2″
Closed Seals:
Unlike open seals, closed seal are threaded on the strap before the tensioning process begins. The nose of the tensioner butts up against the seal. When the ideal tension is achieved the seal is notched and the sealer is removed. Overlapping flanges withstand more stress and can take higher tension.
Available in Widths 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″, 1 1/4″ and 2″
Wire Buckles:
PPI offers the highest quality wire buckles for polypropylene and cord strapping. These buckles are applied by hand by looping the two ends of the strap through the middle of the buckle then pulling on either end to apply tension to the package. No tools are required for this application.
Available in Widths 1/2″, 3/4″
